COVID-19 Information

Church is still on tomorrow, 1st November, the service will still be taking place at 10am following covid guidance, as we have done for the past couple of months.

Further updates about future services will be circulated once we have sought guidance and fully understood the new lockdown rules, although it is unlikely that further services will take place in November.

  • Sunday 1st November 10am - ACE style service

The church will be very different, with socially distanced seating, no singing and no tea and coffee after the service. Please remember to bring your face covering.

You can read more about what to expect in our Church Opening Letter.

Our opening plans are subject to the local Covid situation, so please check the St James Church Facebook page for updates.

The Church of England has set up a phoneline Daily Hope for people who cannot access online services. The line is available 24 hours a day on 0800 804 8044. Please pass this number onto friends and family who may not have access to the internet.

Some people have asked if there is a way of paying money into church funds to offer extra support at this time. You can donate via the St James JustGiving page.

Child Friendly Church

We are a Child Friendly Church

St. James is a parish church in the Anglican Diocese of Liverpool.  We serve an urban parish in the West of Warrington.   As well as regular Sunday morning worship we pride ourselves on our fellowship and regular social events.  Please have a look around and see what we do. We are part of the West Warrington Team with St Mary's, St Paul's and St Philip's Anglican churches.

Rev Martin Thorpe

Rev Martin Thorpe and the congregation would always be glad to see you at worship, or one of our other events.
