Easter outdoor services 2021
We are pleased to be holding two open air services at St James this Easter. Although we still have to observe strict social distancing, as the service is outside the congregation can sing!
To keep everyone safe, please help us by reading and following the safety guidance carefully. See the individual services below for service sheets you can print at home.
- Please be aware that these services are outside and will be held whatever the weather. Please dress for the weather and wear suitable, comfortable shoes.
- Restrictions are still in place and you must remain with your household bubble and at least 2m from other bubbles at all times.
- Face masks are compulsary if you need to go inside the building for any reason (unless you are exempt), and are optional outside
- Please follow the directions of the marshalls and show them respect. They are working to make sure everyone can safely enjoy the service.
- People will be able to drive in and stay in their cars if they need to sit down, or you can bring a portable chair with you, but there will not be seating provided.
- Toilets will be available for emergency use. Masks will be required inside the building and access will be limited to ensure social distancing is possible
- There will be limited parking, please arrive from 10.15am so people can park safely. Once the car park is full you will be asked to park elsewhere and walk in.
- Walk in visitors are welcome, but seating will not be provided, you can bring a portable chair with you if needed.
- After the service, pedestrians will be asked to leave first so that we can safely manage the pedestrians and cars
- If you wish to meet after the service, please exit the church grounds and move onto the wide footpath between the Parish field/Childs Wood and the church grounds. The 'rule of 6' applies to social groups meeting outdoors and you should still remain 2m from people outside of your household bubble.

We will be using our Easter Service booklets for this service. These haven't been used for a year and will be available to be used during the service. These will be returned after the service and quarantined for another year! If you would prefer you can download the Easter service booklet here to a tablet or other mobile device or to print at home.
