Sunday Services

Children are always welcome at Sunday morning worship at St James's. We aim to involve children together with adults in our Sunday worship as much as possible. KCC takes place during our 9.30am service and our 11am Active Church for All services include crafts and activities alongside teaching, prayers and songs. We also understand that it is not possible to keep little children still and quiet all through church!

To help you to be in church with your children we have designed 'pew bags' for younger children, full of interesting things which a child can take to their place and play with while sitting with their parents.

Kidz Church Club

(or KCC for short)

KCC takes place most Sundays during the 9.30am service, with children going into the church hall after the Gospel reading for games, stories, pictures, making things, acting, sticking and prayers. All leaders are CRB checked. Children rejoin the main service in time to for the Eucharist (Communion) and are welcome to come forward for a blessing or to receive Communion if they have been confirmed.
